Memorial Day

On memorial day Aunt Sheryl had a graduation party for Ange/ family picnic at her and Uncle Jimmy's house.

Jennifer gave me a copy of a recent Rolling Stone magazine featuring the Kings of Leon.

After the party Amy & I went to the Stretar's for the rest of the day.

I found out Greg was going to be at Stretar's when we were getting ready to leave the party. It was the third time Greg & I met. I thought he was one of the most genuinely polite and gentlemanly boys I had ever met, and incredably attractive. Greg has a sort of old fashioned-ness to him that I have never seen in anyone else, besides Dad & Andy Griffeth. It is in the tone that he speaks and the way he carries himself. He had me intrigued, and I wanted to sit and talk with him for hours.

Unfortunatly I was so nervous when I saw him again I started doing dumb things like reading the Kings of Leon article aloud...the idea of doing something to distract myself, from doing anything REALLY embaressing, kind of backfired.

We all went to get ice cream, went to Findley, sang together in the car, played hopscotch in the studio with a strobe light, and laughed long into the night.

Said all that to say...that is the first picture I ever took of Greg...well the first picture he is in. The distant boy on the left.

I was using LCCC's fisheye lens the week before the lab was to close. I never had a chance to print them, but thanks to my new best friend, Scanner, I am able to get a good look at the images without printing them.

And although we didn't know it at the time, I think that is the day we both fell in love.
